Nach vielen Versuchen, die alle in meinem kläglichen Versagen und unausgesprochen großer Unzufriedenheit resultierten, fiel mir gestern auf dem Weg nach Hause plötzlich auf, dass ich eigentlich gar nicht das perfekte Love-Mixtape brauche. Also hörte ich auf, nach den perfekten Songs zu suchen.

In den letzten Tagen hatte ich meine eigene Herausforderung angenommen, endlich das zu tun, was jeder 12-Jährige 1985 schon tat: ein Mixtape für das Herz zusammenbasteln. Ich wollte es niemandem schenken, also kein klassisches Give-Away-Mixtape machen (das dauert auch wesentlich länger als nur ein paar Tage), sondern eins machen, dass irgendwie den Moment, in dem ich mich gerade befindet, festhält. Nicht, dass ich mich je wieder so wirklich an diese völlig hirnrissigen Stimmungsschwankungen erinnern möchte. Aber ok.

Tatsächlich besitze ich für jeden Menschen und für jeden Moment in meinem Leben den passenden Soundtrack- nur das Thema Liebe, Herzschmerz, Sehnsucht, Yadda Yadda Bang Bang, das habe ich bisher gepflegt und großzügig ignoriert, vielleicht, um es aufzuheben. Für dann, wenn ich die perfekte Sammlung habe. Oder für dann, wenn ich es wirklich empfinde.

Ich dachte, das wäre jetzt- aber es stimmt nicht, es gibt keine Liebe, und es gibt auch keine perfekte Sammlung, sonst würde es mir nicht so schwer fallen. Meine gescheiterten Versuche beweisen mir, dass es nicht die Zeit dafür ist. Es ist nicht das, was ich suche. Es geht nicht um Love & Heartbreak. Es geht um viel weniger: etwas, dass dieses zerbrechliche Thema am Rand ankratzt, berührt, etwas, dass davor passiert (oder auch nicht passiert) und endet, ehe man sich versieht. Dinge, die man nicht mehr mit Worten erklären kann (weshalb man zur Musik greifen muss), Situationen und Momente, die zu schnell vorbeirauschen und nur eine Staubwolke von Verwirrung und Wehmut zurücklassen. Es geht um Abschiede, verpasste Gelegenheiten, die What-Ifs und all das, was man mit Sicherheit nicht in einem Mixtape über die Liebe finden wird.

Das hier ist nicht Time After Time von Cyndie Lauper, man. Aber es hat lange genug gedauert, das herauszufinden.
